One of the hottest iPhone and Android apps to come out of Silicon Valley is called Color, and it's built on a very different philosophy than most social networks. While with Facebook, Twitter and other networks you might belong to you choose an inner circle of acquaintances to become part of your network, Color works solely based on location.

Wherever you are, with Color you have access to information from people who are in the same place. You don't have to be connected--you don't even have to know each other. When you post photos and videos online with Color, they are instantly viewable to anyone who is near you.

Most interestingly, these photos remain tagged to a particular location, so if you happen to visit a destination where your best friend was six months or a year ago, you can still see their images.
