Living in the suburbs makes it hard to use a bicycle every day, but I can still appreciate good bike design. And since eco-friendliness is a priority for more and more of us, more and more new design- and eco-conscious bike companies are coming out with great products. You can even get a cool-looking bike through Urban Outfitters. With bikers on the rise, cities are making changes to accommodate them.
Some companies and cities are even getting creative with bicycle parking to make room for more two-wheeled commuters. Bikes take up a lot less space than cars, and the designers at Cyclehoop have taken that concept and translated it into an innovative product. Commissioned for the London Festival of Architecture, their car-shaped bike rack stands out while blending in. In a parking space for just one car, the rack is able to accommodate parking for up to 10 bikes! It also has an integrated bike pump just in case you get a flat on your way home.
For helping save the earth, 10 bikes at a time, this design is Character Approved.
