Audra McDonald: Tony Winner & Wedding Singer

Audra McDonald holds the unique distinction of being a four-time Tony Award winner who has succeeded in every area of entertainment that she has attempted. She is the recipient of two Grammy Awards, and has been nominated for two Emmys. In addition to her work on stage, the small screen, and in the recording studio, the star added one more credit this month to her very long résumé: wedding singer.

Recently, McDonald was the guest singer at the same-sex wedding of a Bloomberg administration staffer at Gracie Mansion, the very first of its kind to be officiated by Bloomberg.

McDonald will soon return to Broadway in the upcoming Porgy and Bess, and we can't wait to see more from this Character Approved entertainer!
