Spotify Makes Digital Music Streaming a Reality

Written By Rohit Bhargava

If you asked most people in America to identify a famous Swedish export, they would probably come up with IKEA or Volvo. As it turns out, the Swedes have another innovation set to take America by storm, and it is doing so in an industry that many skeptics have predicted might never move ahead. Spotify is a new digital streaming music service that manages to do what many others have failed to in the past: offer millions of songs for live streaming on demand.

Before even coming to America, Spotify had amassed more than 10 million users in Europe. Since soft-launching in the States just over a month ago, they've opened their doors to the "techno-elite" in beta version as they test the service and get ready for a fuller launch. When they do, the service will attract loads of fans thanks to the speed and usability of their interface, and the fact that they've been able to create a service with the blessing of many record labels, making millions of songs available for streaming.

Digital music streaming is something that lots of us have been waiting for. For cracking the code on how to finally make it available to us all, Spotify is Character Approved.
