Last Sunday, Shepard Fairey became the first major artist to support the Occupy Wall Street movement by designing the invite to the Times Square meet-up.
The Black Power Movement-inspired image of an African-American woman gazing upward was meant to inspire and motivate people to join the protestors. While Shepard has used political poster imagery in his work for years, it's good to see his talents put to use for the Occupy Wall Street protest.
Following on the heels of the powerful Obama "Hope" poster, Fairey's Occupy Wall Street poster is Character Approved.
