One solution gaining a lot of attention is to teach kids to cook as a way of getting them to eat healthier--now and for a lifetime. Last year, we reported on Jamie Oliver's Jamie's Home Cooking Skills website. Now, New York producer Giselle Deiaco has launched an innovative new web series sure to get kids' attention. As we all look for ways to get children to eat better and live healthier, the Character Approved Kids Who Love to Cook is an especially engaging tool that families can share. Aimed at children 8 to 16, it features cooking videos, recipes, food adventures, and contests for beginner cooks, future chefs, and foodies. And given the state of home cooking these days (or more accurately, the lack of cooking in many homes), parents may learn from these kid cooks too.
