Scarves For a Cause: The Alexander Skarsgård Holiday Drive

Written By USA Character Blog

The fan websites of Nordic heartthrob Alexander Skarsgård have teamed up to provide some holiday comfort to women in need. They're asking admirers of the True Blood star to knit scarves for a cause.

In a Character Approved--and Skarsgård approved--effort, sites like SkarsgardNews.com, AlexSkarsgard.net, and Skarsgardfans.com are supporting Handmade Especially's drive for scarves. The group helps victims of domestic violence.

The call: Knit a scarf and send it in. Mailing details are available on all of the fan sites. They'll collect the scarves and send them on under Skarsgård's name. They just ask that scarves be 60'' long, 4'' wide, and made from "happy" colored yarn.

If you can knit or crochet and you want to help, grab some wool and make a Skarsgård scarf--you can provide comfort to some women who need a little extra this time of year.
