Terry Boyd is the author of Blue Kitchen, a Chicago-based food blog for home cooks. Terry is an amateur in the best sense of the word--he cooks because he loves it. Not only has he never cooked professionally, he's actually had to overcome a childhood in which the most used utensil in the kitchen was the can opener. His cooking focuses on fresh ingredients, big flavors and a cheerful willingness to borrow ideas and techniques from all over the world. His recipes have appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, the Red Eye (a Chicago Tribune publication) and on the Bon Appétit and Saveur websites.
